Intro
And we're back!! Last year's sellout fantasy tournament is returning to London and it's going to be bigger and better than ever!London Thunderground 2: Electric Boogaloo will return on 14-16 July 2023.We have so many surprises to unveil over the coming months, it's gonna be legit! We're taking it global this year! We're hosting Thunderground simultaneously with the Quadball World Cup in Richmond, Virginia so that those who aren't travelling across the Atlantic can all meet and party together - and play of course! #LivestreamPartyNo matter which country you're cheering for - we have a Sesh for you! Come for the Quadball, stay for the watchparty. We plan to stream the games alongside our main SOCIALS (more on this later)! We'll update this site with more information soon!
Overview
We have 3 days of fun in store for you - with a social on the Friday night, a full day of Quadball on Saturday, two Saturday night socials, and finally a day of games and good times on #SundayFunday. The entry cost for the tournament will be £20 for players, we'll have paid referee positions, and there will also be a chance to sign-up as a Non-playing Volunteer (more info coming soon). We're sticking with the 3 max gender format, on top of this we'll once again be releasing an early priority sign-up form for women and non-binary players ahead of the general sign-up.
Format
We're expanding the tournament to 8 teams this year! 😍 The new format will include a round-robin group stage with two groups of 4 teams, followed by a final round of head-2-head games to determine our Electric Boogaloo champions! Group A 4th vs Group B 4th - and so on...You can find the tournament tie breakers here, it's basically the same shenanigans as last year. And here's a link to the rulebook - we'll also be using the QUK amendments. The schedule will be linked here and on our Facebook page when sign-ups close. We'll be getting everyone to pitch in again and do some volunteering. Same deal as last year- come and make some cold hard cash by refereeing 💰. Per game we're paying: Head Refs (£8) and Assistant Refs, Flag Refs, and Flag Runners (£4).
Committee
If you have any questions about how much fun you're going to have or how much of your soul you'll lose at the social, then speak to one of the committee (Tatman, Gio, Jenny, Rudi, John, Arjun & Chazz).

You already know what it is! The new Mecca of Quadball in London will be receiving us for a second year - we're going back to the banks of the River Thames at Barn Elms! The difference this time is that we've got the Prime Time Pitches, baby! Bleachers, toilets, and it's right next to the café 😋.We play on grass so make sure to bring your boots. There are a few shops nearby and we have the small cafe but bring your own snacks if you can.And of course, the lovely folks at Epione will be at hand to tend to your boo boos. Here's a map and a link to the venue, the jewel of Putney. First stop, head on down to Esquires, Balham where we have two options for you - the first is our chill area where you can chat with friends, eat and drink, and watch the Quadball World Cup games. It's going to be a lot of fun! No matter which country you're supporting, there'll be fun for everyone🍿.If you're looking for a bit of extra spice, we're heating things up with the second option at this social. We're converting the basement at Esquires into a Disco Dungeon! Dancing, singing, glow sticks, the whole works. Things are going to get wild! 💃This may not be a wise decision but we're making it BYOB! Yes you heard that right, bring your own booze. No need to predrink at home - dive straight into the Sesh Pit. God help us all.🍹Saturday Sesh 2
